Yes, the team at MTS is accredited, licensed, and insured — so you have peace of mind you’re getting a qualified arborist for every job we tackle. Things can go wrong quickly when you’re removing trees. Damage to property and risk to personal safety should be top of mind for anyone undertaking this challenge. With that in mind, we recommend seeking an arborist at AQF Level 3.

Maybe! It will depend on your council and any planning overlays (e.g., VPO, ESO) or Significant/Exceptional Tree listings. From September 2025, a new clause regarding canopy trees has been introduced to all planning schemes in Victoria. This clause, Clause 52.37, requires a permit to remove, destroy or lop a canopy tree.
A qualified arborist, like the team at MTS, can look at your property and overlays to determine whether your tree can be removed without a permit. We’ll help you with any necessary reports and permits needed to remove a canopy tree/overlay tree and complete the tree removal works once permission is granted.

Tree removal costs vary depending on the size, location, and condition of the tree. We offer free quotes and on-site inspections to provide an accurate price. Head to our contact us page to get in touch.

Most tree services will create green waste —but fear not, we deal with the lot. We remove all green waste from the site; we’ll either mulch it for reuse or take it to an approved recycling facility. You can request to keep the mulch, which is great for spreading over your garden.
-
Yes, in addition to our tree removal services, we offer stump grinding as an optional service. This completely removes the base of the tree below ground level, allowing you to plant over the area. Many of our clients find stumps unsightly, worry about attracting pests (like termites), and want to avoid the potential future trip hazard.
-
We monitor weather conditions very closely. For safety, we may need to reschedule work during strong winds, heavy rain, or storms. We’ll keep you informed every step of the way, so you always know the status of your tree project.
-
Yes, our quotes are completely free and come with no obligation.

Timeframes will vary depending on both the season and job size. We’ll always aim to book you in as soon as possible and offer priority for urgent work. If you need work done asap, let us know and we’ll do what we can to accommodate.
